Central University of Jammu PhD eligibility criteria
Candidates who have completed a Master’s degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. A relaxation of 5% of marks for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
(or) for engineering candidates who have completed both UG and PG with first-class (60%) aggregate or 6.5 CGPA.
And NET/JRF/GATE are mandatory for everyone.
Central University of Jammu PhD admission selection process 2024-25
In the central University of Jammu, the PhD admission selection procedure for 2024–25 is based on interviews only. The distribution of weightage is given below. The final selection shall be made based on composite marks (as mentioned below) awarded by the research committee.
Score for JRF/NET/GATE applicants: 50%
Quality of proposal for presentation and interview: 50%

The university shall follow the reservation policy of the central government in all aspects of PhD admission as per the rule of GOI.
A list of selected candidates for the PhD program shall be displayed on the university website. No notification will be sent by post. For regular updates, visit the official website.
The selected candidates shall be required to produce original documents for verification at the time of reporting.
If candidates are already in employment, they need a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Each selected candidate shall be required to submit his/her migration certificate in the original format.
